Last residence Detroit, Michigan 48235. When he immigrated, he first went to Argentina where he was a gaucho, he had deserted from the Russian army after being beaten up. Arrived in US as Jelovsky, George (Passenger ID 101895030127 Frame395 Line Number21) on SS Byron SHIP, arrived February 27th, 1907 Port of Departure Rio de Janeiro: He was 23 years old and single, stated he was going to "brother-in-law" Lazar Saitz in Roxbury, MA. I\\\\'ve researched the Saitz\\\\' of Roxbury and found several, including Lazar. They were from Savrin, not far from Krivoye Ozero, but I have not been able to confirm the connection. Lazar was not Harry\\\\'s brother-in-law, perhaps he was a cousin.
Played clarinet for Czar\\\\'s army but they discovered he was Jewish, knocked out all his teeth and broke his hands; that\\\\'s when he left Russia.
